Oct 1, 2016------evening

Today was about the Terra-Cotta Warriors and the Tomb of the First Emperor of Qin Dynasty.
To say the least it was impressive----best part of the trip so far--and the rest has been great.

So we were crowned the new Emperor and Empress of the Morden Dynasty

There are 3 different dig sites all protected with a building built around them. The size of teh building are unbelievably huge.

Rows and rows of warriors separated by dirt rows that at sometime will be dug up to expose even more warriors
This picture was taken at the back of the 1st pit--hopefully it can show you how long it is---
These are life size statues

Broken ones put back together--taped to let the glue dry

This horse needs support under the belly while the glue dries

just some more unbroken horses.

was a great day--ended with a tea drinking ceremony---who knew that I have been making tea all wrong these years--will make you a cup of tea when we get home. Bought some different types.

Off to Shanghai tomorrow  to visit Tiger Hill and then go on a Grand Canal Boat ride.
