Oct 23 evening

Hi there we arrived safe and sound in Bangkok--the hotel is very nice---wish I had asked Pete to look for a hotel with a pool---it is hot , hot , hot-- 104 F---just way too hot. We are averaging 2-3 showers a day...the napsack that Pete has been carrying is so wet it will take a few days to dry.

So this is me someday--not here too hot-- but feet up sewing away selling what ever :)

This guy cooked supper for us tonight--really good Shrimp Pai Thai  - 2 plates came to 120 baht or about $ 5.00 for supper--with lots to eat for both of us.

Lunch cost about the same but was beef noodle soup--- we will be going back to this place again---great soup.

A good varsity of crispy bugs---meal worms, silk worms, grasshoppers done 2 different ways, a few spiders, scorpions and a few I really don't know what they were-----cost me 10 baht to take the picture (40 cents)----I think this guy makes more money off photos than selling his bugs!!!!!

Street scene---now imaged a narrow street with just as many stores on both sides ---the road full of people and cars and scooters and tuk tuks going up and down between everyone.  

long boats on the  Chao Phraya River----the huge motors are attached to a a very long shaft with the propeller on the end. Water is a dirty as it looks---yuk. But we are going to look into going to the floating market and a dinner cruise---let you know how that goes.

Lots of food everywhere--some we'll try--only if is cooked in front of us---never know how long it has been sitting around otherwise.
