The King of Thailand died on the 11th-----so no fewer than 30 TV channels are broadcasting his mourning.....only 2 stations left that speak english----so evenings are for cribbage--so far we are even.
The bars and sale of alcohol has been banned--might be able to buy something on the 18th---we'll see--no lost. The government of Canada has asked that all Canadian not participate in any festive occasions that would seem disrespectful .....just like what has been ordered for all of Thailand by their own government
