Oct 19 --afternoon

Well today we set out mid morning and walked the beach down to the pier. We picked one of the hottest days to do that! high 30s and humidity in the 30-40s----- I melted--so on the way back we stopped and walked around a 7/11, and 2 different malls just to cool off. the last mall we when into KFC and bought fries for Pete and a large sprite for me and just sat for an 1/2 hour before haeding home for a shower---we stay in most of the afternoon and go out for supper and walk around more than.

 This is a local night market--it opens about 8 pm--it is huge ---but a lot of the shops sell the same items---but we walked throught it just the same.

This shows teh street our hotel is on. We are right at the end----really does not look as scary as this photo might show---really nice place on a quite street. 

This is the famous walking street--it really opens for business after 9pm and runs all night. Our hotel is far far away from this street.

 So on our walk we got to the pier and took a picture back on to the city----we are about in the middle 2 streets back

Egg and sticky rice lady. Notice the jeans, long sleeves, gloves and hat--I am melting to the point of heat stroke and there are lots of people like this lady dressed for cold weather.
