Only sewing machine I saw--but she was taking a break and playing cards so I do not know what she was working on
So now we are in Thailand- left the B&B at 0900 this morning flew to Bangkok, and then transferred and flew to Chaiang Mai ,we got to our hotel at 6 pm---so that is why there are no pictures from today.
We did have a great time in Cambodia and enjoyed our stay with Bun and his very large extended family. Besides him and his wife and child, the Mother, sister and brother lives with him. He was adopted a young boy, plus he sponsors 8 other children so they can go to school--some live with him some hang out at his place. His goal is to learn enough money to build a 2 room school and be able to
to offer free education to the children who can not afford the $25 a month. I have never met such a good person. The whole family works. Mother picks flowers off one of the trees and sells them for $1/klo, the kids wash the quests clothing for $2/klo, They have a fish pond were they stock it and once in awhile throw some food in but the fish eat the plants that grow there and the bugs that come by, the chickens are free range--skinnest chickens I have ever see--but they eat all the bugs and anything they can find and give the family eggs and once in awhile they eat one. A roaster was crowing way too much and upsetting the guests, so they ate him--problem solved!! Bun also has many fruit trees and a large garden which was completely untended but provide the family and us with a lot of vegs. The lake across the road provide some long bean like plant that was very good.
I had made a table runner out of some Canadian printed fabric to give them as a gift---- a table runner to a family who sits together and eat on a mat on the floor!!! But seem that it was a perfect size blanket for their new baby girl and just the right weight of batting in it. They were very happy with it and it proved to be useful after all.
Well we are here in Chaing Mai for 3 days before we go on our Elephant Jungle trek, so we are going to sleep in until 8 and then just go at our pace for a change.
Will post pictures of the town for you tomorrow
